MEDIATION SERVICES
I have conducted dozens of mediations for the Community Mediation Services of Queens, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the EEOC through the Mediation Clinic for the School of Law at CUNY.
My mediation philosophy draws from various sources of training, all of which are premised upon the primacy of human agency and respect for the driving needs and objectives of those involved in conflict. My training in conflict resolution theory and techniques is certified through Columbia University Law School, Victims Services, the New York City Bar Association and the Community Mediation Services Apprenticeship Program.
As a neutral, I endeavor to unearth the true interests of the parties, provide a generous platform for parties to be heard and understood and, when sought, offer my judgment and legal experience. My training in trauma-informed counseling and navigating cross-cultural challenges is essential for understanding the complex dynamics involved in discrimination disputes.
